EnFuse Fitness: Website Audit & Action Brief

The talk-track for our working session. First, where the website stands and what each finding means. Then the quick fixes we can make together, and the plan for the next 90 days. Every item here is tracked in the interactive console. This document explains the why.

Part 1

Where you stand

This audit was done from the outside, the way Google and a new client see the site, without logging into any of your accounts. Where a number comes from a tool, it's labeled. Where a number is an estimate, it says so. Goals are proposed: we'll agree on them together.

1.1: The scoreboard

MetricToday90-day goalWhy this number
Google rating5.0 from 97 reviewsKeep 5.0 · ~110 reviewsAlready the strongest reputation in the local field. The goal is to keep it growing and to put it on the website, where it's currently invisible.
Google Maps position#1*Hold #1First result for "personal trainer Enfield CT" when we checked. *Map results depend on where the person searching is.
Mobile speed score44 / 10060+Google's PageSpeed test. Nearby competitors on Squarespace score in the high 40s to low 50s; the fastest nearby site scored 63. 60+ is realistic on your current platform once the homepage video is replaced.
Email security records0 of 33 of 3SPF, DKIM and DMARC. This is a yes/no fix that takes about 15 minutes.
Call button on the siteNoneOn every pageThe homepage says "Commit to your health and call," but the number is only small footer text.

1.2: What's already working

Talking point

Your reputation is the hardest thing to build, and you've already built it. Almost every fix in this brief is about making the website show what your reviews already say.

Part 2

The findings, one by one

Ranked by how much each one is likely costing you right now. Each shows what we found, why it matters, and the fix.

2.1: Emails from @enfusefitness.com are likely landing in spam

High · ~15 min
Found
Your email runs on Google Workspace, but the domain has none of the three records that prove an email really came from you (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
Why
Since 2024, Gmail and Yahoo require these from senders, and mail without them gets filtered or rejected. That affects replies to new leads, the support address on your Facebook page, and the job-application address on the Employment page.
Fix
Three short records in GoDaddy's DNS settings, one of them generated by turning on DKIM in Google Admin. Nothing on the website changes.
Talking point

If a new client ever said "I emailed and never heard back," this may be why. It's the fastest high-impact fix on the list.

2.2: Calling or booking is hard to find

High · ~30 min
Found
  • The first screen on a phone is a video, then paragraphs of text. The only booking button ("Schedule a Session") is at the very bottom of each page, and it goes to the contact form.
  • The phone number is small footer text and isn't set up as a call button on any page.
  • Hours aren't on the website. Google shows them, but visitors to the site can't see them.
  • There's no online booking. Two nearby competitors show a "Book online" button right in Google Maps.
Fix
Add a "Call (860) 614-1722" button and a "Book a free 15-minute consult" button at the top of the homepage and in the header, and add your hours to the footer. Online booking (Squarespace Scheduling) is a separate decision we'll talk through.

2.3: The site is slow on phones

High · ~1 hr
Found
Google's phone speed test scores the homepage 44/100, Pricing 37 and Personal Training 50. In that test, first content appears after about 9–11 seconds. The biggest cause is the 30-second welcome video at the top of the homepage, which alone pulls about 9 MB in Google's test.
Why
Most people looking for a trainer search on their phone, and a slow first screen loses some of them before they read a word. Speed is also part of how Google ranks pages.
Fix
Replace the top-of-page video with a strong photo of the studio (the video can move lower on the page or to YouTube), re-upload oversized photos at a smaller size, and remove tracking scripts nobody uses.

Honesty clause: speed scores move a few points from run to run, and Google's test simulates a mid-range phone on a slow connection. We'll compare like with like: same test, same pages, before and after.

2.4: Google doesn't know what the homepage is about

High · ~15 min
Found
The homepage's title (the blue link people click in Google) is just "EnFuse", with no description. Squarespace's Business Information section appears to be empty, so no address, phone or hours are shared with Google behind the scenes.
Compare
Nearby competitors use titles like "1-on-1 Personal Training | Enfield, CT."
Fix
Something like "Private Personal Training in Enfield, CT | EnFuse Fitness," a one-sentence description that mentions the free consult, and a filled-in Business Information section.

2.5: A 5.0 rating from 97 reviews, and the site shows none of them

Medium · ~30 min
Found
The homepage features three blog posts from 2019 but no reviews. The Testimonials page shows quotes from 2019, and some testimonials are listed twice.
Fix
Put "5.0 ★ from 97 Google reviews" near the top of the homepage with 3–5 current quotes, and link to your Google reviews.
Talking point

A first-time visitor can't see your 97 reviews unless they go looking on Google. We'll put them where people make the decision: the first screen of your homepage.

2.6: Your visitor data exists, but may be in an account nobody checks

Medium · at the meeting
Found
The site still uses the Google Analytics code installed in 2019. Google retired that version in 2023 but automatically created a newer account for it, and visits are still being recorded there. It may belong to whoever originally set up the site.
Fix
Find which Google login owns it and make sure you have full access. Then track the things that matter: contact-form submissions and taps on the phone number.

2.7: Smaller items

Part 3

*Scores from one test run on all sites with the same settings, so they compare fairly with each other. Google's own site scored EnFuse 44 the same day. Ratings as shown on Google Maps, September 24, 2026.

Talking point

You have the best reputation in this group by a wide margin. The others are winning on basics: a clear title, a booking button, a faster first screen. Those are the easy part, and they're all fixable.

Part 5

The 90-day plan

Three phases. Each one builds on the last, and every item is tracked in the console so you can see progress.

PhaseWhenWhat happensWhat you should notice
1 · Quick wins & accessMeeting weekThe quick wins above, email security records, homepage title, Business Information, access to Analytics, Search Console and your Google Business Profile, and a test of the contact form.A site that looks finished, email that reaches inboxes, and real numbers to measure against.
2 · FoundationWeeks 2–4Call and booking buttons up top, a faster homepage (photo instead of video), reviews on the homepage, tracking for form sends and phone taps, and redirects for the old pages.A faster first screen on phones, and every visit that turns into a call or form is counted.
3 · GrowthMonths 2–3The online booking decision, a refreshed testimonials page, headings and descriptions on key pages, accessibility fixes, a better contact page, and a decision on the blog.More of your pages working for you in Google, and fewer reasons for a visitor to leave.
Honesty clause: we're not promising a number of new clients. We don't yet know how many leads the site produces today; that's the first thing we'll measure. What we can promise is a before-and-after on every item: the same tests on the same pages, 30 and 90 days out.
Part 6

What we need from you

You don't need to know how to do any of this. Bring your laptop and your phone (for login codes); you log in, and we'll do the clicking.

Questions for you

Method

How this audit was done (September 24, 2026):

  • A full crawl of all 83 pages on enfusefitness.com: titles, descriptions, headings, images and every link.
  • Google PageSpeed Insights on the homepage, Pricing and Personal Training, plus Lighthouse on your site and nearby competitors with identical settings.
  • Public DNS and domain records (email security records, registrar, expiration date).
  • The Wayback Machine for pages from the older website.
  • Google Maps for ratings, review counts and nearby competitors, checked from northern Connecticut.
  • A Google site: search for the number of pages Google shows. That count is Google's rough estimate; Search Console has the exact figure.
